Adult Reindeer Costume

The adult reindeer costume - we have lots of choices. Some are regular reindeer costumes, but some are called “mascot” costumes, meaning that they’re superior quality, something that will probably last forever, of plush quality materials and tons of detailing, with a full face mask, so you will totally look like a reindeer!

There are several options, some of which are shown here, and are available in different shades of reindeer brown faux fur. They usually come with reindeer hands (mitts) and feet (shoe covers), and a full face mask resembling a reindeer. They all come with antlers and often — a red nose!

So where did the eight reindeer that work with Santa come from? What’s the story, I mean. It seems that the original idea of the eight flying reindeer comes from an anonymous poem written in 1823 that is recognized today as “Twas the Night Before Christmas”.

Reindeer Economy Mascot Adult Costume

The author of that poem actually named the reindeer. And those names stuck! But since the movie “Miracle on 34th Street”, it has been decided that the reindeer only fly on Christmas eve.

So when did Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer appear? Rudolph came along first in a story written by Robert L. May for Montgomery Wards customers’ kids at Christmastime in 1939.

Rudolph saved the day for the 8 original reindeer by being able to light up his red nose when it was foggy out on Christmas Eve, so that Christmas presents could be delivered to all the deserving children of the world.

The story of Rudolph is a popular Christmas story made into movies, television shows, songs, and books. And costumes! And so much more. Thank goodness for all these stories that were eventually combined into the Christmas story.
